Terms of Use

Last updated 29 October 2026

These terms govern your use of TheMedCoach (the "Service"), a study resource of notes and practice questions for medical students, operated by TheMedCoach ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

The Service provides study notes and practice questions in medical microbiology for examination preparation. It is an educational resource and does not provide medical advice; see the Medical disclaimer.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. An account is for one person and may not be shared. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Free trial

A new account receives a free trial of 3 days from the moment the account is created. No payment details are needed for the trial. When the trial ends, continued access requires a subscription.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices, the billing period and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the link in your Paddle receipt email; access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are described in the Refund policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the content for your own personal study. You may not copy, download in bulk, redistribute, resell or publish the notes or questions, share your account, circumvent access controls, or use automated means to extract content.

6. Intellectual property

The notes, questions, illustrations and design of the Service are owned by TheMedCoach or its licensors and are protected by copyright. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them for your own study while your access is active.

7. Accuracy and availability

We work to keep the content accurate and checked against recognized references, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors, and it does not replace your course materials or official examination guidance. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service. We aim for the Service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account dialog. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision made on the basis of the content, including examination results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified by email or in the Service.
